No ads, anywhere on the home screen
No sponsored tiles, no "recommended for you" rows, no shopping channels. Just your apps. Optional network-level blocking quiets your TV's ad and tracking servers too.
A LuminTech.AI product
Lumin | Home replaces the cluttered, ad-filled screen on your smart TV with a calm, beautiful one, built around the apps you actually use and the people who use them.
What you get
No sponsored tiles, no "recommended for you" rows, no shopping channels. Just your apps. Optional network-level blocking quiets your TV's ad and tracking servers too.
Favorites in the order you choose, a number-key shortcut for each, search across everything, and your HDMI inputs with real names like "PlayStation 5".
A profile for everyone, up to six. Each gets their own favorites, recently used apps, hidden apps and colors. Switch with a click.
Kids see only the apps you allow. Bedtime and daily screen time. A parent PIN. With Lumin | Home Box, the rules hold even if they try to sneak around the home screen.
When the TV sits idle, a slow, beautiful clock takes over. It shifts with the time of day, dims at night, and moves gently, so nothing burns into an OLED.
One setting brings your TV's own home screen back, and uninstalling leaves the TV exactly as it was. No rooting, no hacks.
Built for families
Turn any profile into a kid's profile and choose exactly what it can open. New apps stay off the list until you add them. YouTube can open YouTube Kids instead. Bedtime puts the apps away until morning, and a grown-up's PIN can always make an exception.
Everyone gets their own home screen. The TV asks when it wakes up, if you want it to.
Your TV
Every TV maker decides what an app is allowed to do, so it works a little differently on each. Here's the honest version.
Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Nvidia Shield, Google TV Streamer and more. Install Lumin | Home, choose it as your home screen, done.
Turn it off in one tap to get Google's home screen back.
Lumin | Home runs as an app, and a small Lumin | Home Box on your network brings it back whenever the TV's own home screen appears. It also enforces kids' rules and blocks ads.
Uses LG's official Developer Mode, not rooting. Remove it anytime.
Don't want to touch your TV's software at all? Lumin | Home Box plugs into any HDMI port and becomes your TV's home screen. Your TV's own system is still one input away.
Roku and newer Fire TV devices don't allow other home screens, so the box is the way to go there.
Coming soon
A remote in your pocket: tap to open apps, type with your phone's keyboard, switch inputs, manage profiles and parental controls from the couch.
Coming later
"Put on something funny for the kids, under an hour." Ask from your phone, and Lumin finds it, opens it, and remembers what your family likes. It follows the same parental controls as everything else.

Questions
No. Ads inside an app (like a streaming service's ad-supported plan) belong to that app. Lumin | Home removes the ads your TV puts on its own home screen, and the optional box can block the TV's ad and tracking servers.
Yes, anytime. Turn Lumin | Home off in its settings and your TV's own home screen is back. Uninstall it and the TV is exactly as it was.
No. Lumin | Home never roots or changes your TV's system software. On Google TV it's a regular app. On LG it runs through LG's official Developer Mode instead.
Google TV and Android TV first, LG webOS with Lumin | Home Box, and any TV with an HDMI port through Lumin | Home Box. Roku and newer Fire TV devices don't allow other home screens.
Profiles and parental controls stay in your home: on your TV and, if you have one, your Lumin | Home Box. We don't sell what your family watches. The AI assistant will launch with kids' profiles limited to TV commands and no memory unless a parent turns it on.
Our own servers, run by Lumin Technologies, which power Lumin | Home+ features like the AI assistant. Everything in the one-time Lumin | Home works without it.
We're opening Lumin | Home to early-access households soon. Tell us what you watch on, and we'll send an invite when it's ready for your TV.
We'll only use your email to tell you about Lumin | Home early access. No spam, and one click to unsubscribe from anything we send.
